hardware protections?

1. Does the rainmachine (HD-16 in my case) protect itself against external hardware faults, like a bad/shorted valve solenoid?

2. If it does, and I have a detected fault, would I see something in the log that I can access from the web interface (home -> about -> more -> view log)?

Super coolest would be if it could give me something like actual current draw when a zone is on. I have not looked at the developer API yet, in case any of this is available there.

  Hi,

  The entire system is protected by a PTC on the 24VAC input and the valves are optically isolated. There is also a thermal protection in the adapter provided. 

  For HD12/16 we don't have yet the software short reporting.
