Lawn watering schedule conflict.
I see so many conflicting ways on how to water. Who is correct? What is correct? Here it is said to water Lawns - Lawns should be watered frequently, but use less water than vegetable or flower gardens. While it seems counter-intuitive, it is recommended you water every other day in order to promote healthy, deep root growth.
Many lawn experts say to let your grass wilt a bit or dull in color before watering. You may need to tinker with the sprinkler settings to find ideal interval and duration, or take the system off automatic and personally take control.
I live in a hot, dry area. Later in the year my lawn edges start to brown so I'm wondering if more frequent wouldn't work best???? What would be best for me? Any experts on here care to help?

I also was wondering how this works? Let's say I have my zone 1 for lawn with clay loam soil. This section is 785 sq'. The slope is flat. It has rotars for sprinklers and it is pretty much full sun. When I go into program it says suggested watering is 1hr 54min 34sec. even if I select 2 days a week or every 2 days. Can this be right? What am I doing wrong? What am I missing?
Then if I go into the zones tab and go into basic zone settings it says suggested daily water times at 57m 17s. I am getting a little confused I guess. Watering properly can be a science I guess but man do I feel stupid right now.
