Actual Watering appears to be very high for Rotors.
I recently purchased the HD-16 and really enjoy it, with one exception. I have noticed that my (rotor) zones are watering nearly 3 times the amount I have used in the past. I use wunderground weather stations only and the weather is up to date, and all zones are set to use suggested watering times. I have also adjusted the zone settings to reflect the current soil, sun exposure etc.
I'm a little apprehensive in using the suggested watering times in the future, especially on my rotors. I have gone over the manual and all the posts, but have found nothing that would help me. Is there any settings, which would address this issue? Or is the issue program related?
Thanks,
Kent

Yes, the default predefined rotors have a low precipitation rate (0.35 in/h) but there are rotors that can push 1 in/hour. Since this rate depends a lot on rotor circle, pattern, spacing it's hard to make predefined settings. The best way is to have it set to Custom type and put the values either from datasheet or real rate found by doing a catch cup test.

Thanks for the quick reply. Since I do have various spray patterns in my rotor zone as you mentioned, I modified the duration % of each zone from 100% to 30%, which accurately reflects the actual time watered for this time of year. It also allows me to keep a dynamic time instead of a fixed one. I hope my logic is correct, and it doesn't cause me problems as the season gets warmer.
