When does RM add missed run time to next watering?
I'm new to RM. I've learned from these forums that there are various scenarios when watering time that did not occur for various reasons is added to the next programmed run time during which watering actually happens. But it's hard for me to get a handle on how this actually works.
Could someone please check these scenarios and advise for each when watering resumes and whether or not the programmed time which does not actually run is added to later watering that actually occurs?
PART 1: Assume that the program is set to use weather data and run each zone every day for the RM calculated time. Assume also that a wired rain sensor is attached to the RM. Assume current day is Monday. When does RM actually water again and is the watering time extended from the originally calculated time?
1. Weather service detects substantial rain actually fell on the prior day, Sunday, and RM calculates that the ground is therefore still wet on Monday. RM prevents the program from running at all on Monday.
2. Rain falls on Sunday morning and the wired rain sensor stops all watering from happening on Sunday. The rain sensor does not "dry out" and permit watering again until Monday.
3. Rain falls on Sunday and on Sunday night user manually sets Snooze for 48 hours.
4. Weather service predicts substantial rain on Monday and prevents RM from watering on Monday or reduces the actual watering time on Monday. The rainfall that actually occurs on Monday is minimal or none.
PART 2: Instead of the program calling for daily watering, it is set to water every 2nd day. Same questions #1 - #4.
Thanks in advance. Just trying to understand what to expect from the RM.
