It says water surplus in the special condition of the watering history. Why and what does that mean?

I think after reading some more I am figuring it out.  People don't understand that out in western Kansas the weatherman isn't right most of the time.  I'll venture to guess less than 45%.  It may rain 70 miles to the east of us but we won't get any.  I see on my device that it showed it rained .1 inches yesterday but it didn't rain any.  My grass is dry, my plants are dry and they need moisture.  Will it take time for my system to learn?  I am learning I think.  I went in and changed the rain from 80% to 45%.  That should be closer.

If you use a weather service with a station, then you can set the weather correction to be turned on under the settings > weather > Forecast Correction, which the system will adjust for the actual rainfall not just do it based off the forecast.  This adjustment may take up to 24 hours to do since when actual rainfall is sent to the weather station normally 24 hours later.  I use weatherunderground and it has done a pretty good job so far.

Water surplus is explained in the manual. General overview: your grass is holding more water than what the system calculates your grass needs.

I didn't have the forecast correction checked this morning but I did find it several hours ago so I'm sure it has some adjusting to do.

As for my grass holding more water than what the system calculator says my grass my grass needs is way off.  I have not watered for over a week an a half.  We have had no rain for over 2.  We have had warm weather (not now) and wind.  My ground is hard and dry.  I don't see how it could figure a surplus.
