I like to try to save water if at all possible, so I have my settings set to adaptive frequency. The problem that I have is that when this is checked, I have had issues where it won't water because it goes by the forecast, and it says I have a water surplus. 

The problem that I have is that it may be raining 75 miles away, but not here. We have had a total of 8 inches of rain in the last 365 days or longer. What is the best way of countering the misinformation that WU or NOAA is sending to my rainmachine. 

Will getting my own weather station help?? How should I set my adaptive freq. to make it work properly? Or should I just turn it off, but that defeats the purpose if it ever does rain again here.
