    Hi, Gary
As you said, the Ambient Weather station has an IFTTT channel: https://ifttt.com/ambient_weather
All you have to do is to create an applet and use the Ambient Weather trigger as "THIS" action:

    Outdoor Temperature rises above
    Outdoor Temperature falls below
    Wind Speed rises above
    UV rises above
    Daily Rain rises above
    Parameter rises above
    Parameter falls below

the next step is to use RainMachine IFTTT actions as "THEN" action https://ifttt.com/rain_machine
Now you linked your weather station and Rainmachine without the need of WUnderground.

    Hope this helps.
    Thank you

I have the rules in place, very easy to do.

I don't want to rely on WUnderground as they are unreliable and seem to be changing course.

Once either condition is met, I'll let you know how it fared.

I paused rather than cancelled, mainly because I don't know the consequences/actions of either.
If I pause, will my Mini-8 recalculate based upon the rain and decide if/how much to water after the day pause?

    Hi, Gray
Yes, if you set the Mini-8 in Snooze mode for 1 day the scheduled program watering times will be recalculated after the Snooze.

    Thanks,

It rained yesterday and the Mini-8 was paused for 24 hours.
Works very nicely, and I will disable the old rain sensor in favor of this method.

Thanks for letting me know it does recalculate.

Is there a way to change the Snooze time to less than a day or amount of hours based on the rain amount?   Also, is the amount of rain added to the ET calculations?
