Watering for new lawn conditions while under seasonal restrictions

I went 9 pages deep in the forums and did not see an answer to this. So I apologize if I missed a post that addressed this subject.

Working with my lawn service, we are in the process adjusting the watering schedule for new grass to take hold and slowly choke out the rest of the undesirable grass. So, for the rest of the season, they are recommending less frequency and longer "soak" times to encourage root growth. That in itself is not the problem - I can see how thru a custom schedule how it can water twice a week. However, the City has a restriction in which odd/even applies based on address.

The question is, is there a way thru a custom schedule and/or master setting to create a program that waters twice a week, but only on even days?

Am I missing something here? Is this something that's easily achievable and I should have figured out, or something that cannot be answered?

Yes you would just create two programs,

Program A - start time 6pm
Program B- Start time 8pm

Use the custom day setting to pick the days you want it run.

There is also a option in the latest firmware to have it cycle thru longer run times to encourage root growth.
You have to enable that, I have no idea how well it works.. just saw it in there.
