Winterization- What to Do With RainMachine?

On Monday I will shut off the water to the sprinkler system in preparation for winterizing the system.

Should I power down my Mini-8 or trust the program to stay silent for the winter period?

I have a start and end date programmed along with allowing yearly repeat.

I'm inclined to just leave it powered up as it should not run a thing until next April 1

I thought I'd ask though.

  Can't you set the restrictions not to water during those months?  Obviously unplugging it will make sure it won't water though.

  That would be one way of doing it. There is also the method I chose, setting a start and end date for the program.

  So, if powered down, will it remember the WiFi settings, etc or will it need reprogrammed in Spring?

  Those are the things I'd like to learn.
