Way to turn off rainfall compensation?

I have a planter zone that runs around the perimeter of the house and between the overhang of the roof and gutters, it's pretty much shielded from the rain. I have been using the adaptive watering for the variability of the weather, but rainfall compensation is throwing things off in this one specific scenario because it is registering water that isn't actually getting to the ground.

Is there any way around this or is the only solution to switch to a fixed cycle time?

  You could leave adaptive weather on, but edit that particular zone, and disable weather, but leave "Seasonal adjustments" on. 

  This way it will still adjust based on a 10 year historical average and still water within season. This way it will still ignore rain.
