Weather station purchase?
I've asked the question before and I really want to get a weather station. I have not pulled the trigger for a couple of years and want to do it this summer. What is the best station for the money under $300? Thanks.

We recommend our latest product, the RainMachine Pro-8 or Pro-16: https://www.rainmachine.com/products/rainmachine-pro.html
Both will be back in stock at the beginning of July. -
I am also shopping for weather stations. I like the WS200 or WS5000 because it can log data from soil sensors. I think it would be interesting to get a couple soil sensors and put them in different spots every few days. I live in San Diego County on a "cut" lot (my neighbor's lot is "fill"). Anyway, there is not much clay or organic matter in my soil. It is mostly granules of decomposed granite. Therefore, it wets pretty uniformly so data from a soil sensor would probably be representative of soil moisture for a couple feet in each direction.
Also, a soil moisture sensor could be useful for potted plants. Is there any way to use a soil moisture sensor to influence rainmachine run times? I have a Samsung Smartthings Zigbee/Zwave network so I think I can use IFTTT to trigger a zone based on soil moisture sensor data.
