New HD16 Weather Not Updating?

I received my HD16 and I am trying to set it up. I haven’t actually attached any sprinkler valves yet, but I plugged it in and went through the setup. I live in Canada, and for weather I chose the NOAA. The app tells me that it is the ‘recommended’ one. However, although it says that weather service link ran today and that the status is ‘Ok’, no actual weather data is showing on the device or the app! 3 questions: - do I need to actually have some valves connected to have this work? (Doesn’t seem logical but perhaps); and - is the NOAA weather service appropriate for Canada? - any other reasons why this wouldn’t be working? Thanks

  Follow up to my original post... It seems that NOAA doesn't actually work in my area (Canada)! I was able to get the weather data using METNO.
