How to integrate personal weather station data

I have an Acurite 5-in-1 weather station I would like to use for my Weather data. Using the NOAA data I find my Rainmachine watering even though we are getting days of flash flooding in my area. I need better local data. I'd like to not rely on the internet so I was going to use Weather Display to send my Acurite weatherstation data to the Rainmachine.

The Rainmachine support site "Weather Engine" post says: "The Weather-Display weather service allows RainMachine to integrate with weather-display enabled personal weather stations." As an Off the Grid service. Perfect! Except there is no further explanation on how to implement it. I've searched the community form and found no mention of it.

How do I get my Acurite weather station data to my Rainmachine with out going over the internet?

  If I remember right Weather-Display was being used with the PWS Weather Service (See: https://support.rainmachine.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115008552688-Anyone-using-the-PWS-parser-with-Weather-Display-)

  I think the best way (that I also used) is to use WeeWX, enable Local Weather Push on RainMachine (see Developer tab on Web UI Weather Services) and receive data from WeeWX (https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/RainMachine)

  Thanks. I just looked into WeeWx from the github link you gave me. It looks like it might be a bit over my head to figure out how to implement.
