The RainMachine Account is optional and not required when you want to access your RainMachine device locally from the same local network using the free RainMachine mobile and web apps.

 

RainMachine Local Network Access and Direct Access (Port Forwarding) features does not require the RainMachine Account.

 

A RainMachine Account it is only required in order to use the remote access through the RainMachine Cloud Servers. This account allows you to connect and control your RainMachine device from anywhere in the world.
