The more sun a zone is exposed to, the higher the evaporation rate. Below are the most common scenarios your plants will be found in. The total hours of sun exposure a plant experiences each day do not have to be continuous. For example, if a plant gets 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening, it could still fall into the Full Sun category.
Full Shade: Less than 3 hours of direct sun. Plants under awnings, on patios, or shaded by heavy foliage would fall under this category. |
Partial Sun: 3-6 hours of daily sunlight. Plants that are in dappled shade, along with a fence wall or a similar scenario should be set to this option. |
Full Sun: Fun sun means 6 or more full hours of direct sunlight. A suitable setting for plants that are exposed all day with very little to no shade cover. |
