All RainMachine models come with a built in web interface that allows total control of the device. This interface is accessible from local network, remotely through Direct Access (Port Forwarding) and remotely through the RainMachine Cloud Servers using the My RainMachine webpage. Due to screen space available on modern desktops the web interface can present much more detailed information to the users compared with the mobile applications. It's also an important tool for developers that want more insight and settings for RainMachine.
Local network access
To access the web interface on local network you have to know the IP address of the RainMachine which can be found either by using RainMachine display and going to Settings > WiFi or checking your WiFi router information page.
Once you know the IP address you can navigate to https://<rainmachine ip address>:8080/ to open the web interface. Since the device is using a private IP address in your network you must accept the certificate exception. The certificate will still provide encryption but can't be validated automatically because of the private IP address.

Remote access
If you are away from your home you can still access your RainMachine:
1) via Direct Access (Port Forwarding) feature (no RainMachine Cloud Servers access required)
2) via the My RainMachine webpage (requires RainMachine Cloud Servers access). This requires to have configured and validated your email address as RainMachine Remote Access account explained here.
Remote Access through the RainMachine Cloud Servers
Navigate to https://my.rainmachine.com and enter your email address and your RainMachine device password to login to your RainMachine.
IMPORTANT: We do not save any of your passwords on our servers, the password that you provide is your RainMachine device password that you entered during initial RainMachine setup.
If you have multiple RainMachine devices you will be presented with a screen to choose your RainMachine. After this the web interface for the selected RainMachine will be loaded and you can control your RainMachine.
