See MAC address before connecting wifi

Hi there! I'm just getting started with my new HD-12. The first thing I notice is that there's no way to see the MAC address of the device until the wifi is connected. If you go to the About screen, it's blank.

My network uses fixed DHCP assignments, so I need to know the MAC address of every new device before connecting. For most devices, it's printed on the sticker with the serial number, or available via one of the menus. I found that the HD-12 will show the MAC address with the other network info after connecting, but not before.

Always showing the MAC address on the About screen would be much appreciated. Thank you!

  Hi,

  Tap on Wrench icon > System > Network Tools you should see the MAC address  listed even if the wifi is not connected.

  Thanks, that's what I did, and it showed either blank or N/A for the MAC address. Sorry I didn't take a picture at the time.

  This was with the old firmware, because it wasn't yet connected to download the update. Is it possible this was fixed in the latest firmware? If you're not able to reproduce it, I can do a factory reset and check again.

  You might be right, I haven't rebooted to check if the MAC is filled just because it was previously connected. I will check.

  Also the MAC should be written on the WIFI adapter, if you yank it out it should be on the USB metal connector.
