Setting up my sprinkler zones in RainMachine with the assistant dialogue, the suggested watering times were far off (more than twice as long) from has proven to be sufficient with my irrigation gear. Yet, I would like to use (and better understand) RainMachine's parameters in advanced zone settings rather than just dial in what was OK in ancient times with my dumb (as opposed to now smart) irrigation controller. So I modified the parameters of the rotor sprinkler heads to what is installed in my garden and RainMachine now comes up with watering times much closer to what I hat set up previously.

In order to better remember how I came up with the values I have modified, it would be nice to have a comment field (e.g. 100-200 characters) under custom settings for vegetation type, soil type, slope, sprinkler head type and sun exposure, where additional, personal information can be stored for future reference.
