New Zone Shuts off after ~30 seconds
Having some strange results after adding a new zone.
Equipment wise I have a 16 zone unit, firmware 4.0.9.
Yesterday I added a new zone to my system to water my vegetable garden. Currently on zone 12.
When manually running the zone the water shuts off after ~30 seconds (water does come out for the 30 second). The app and head unit continue to show that the zone is open.
Upon closing the zone and reopening it will shut off again very abruptly.
If then open a different zone, it too will run for less than 30 seconds. This will continue until you kill the app on your phone or reboot the head unit.
Once rebooted the system and schedules work fine, until I test the new zone. As soon as you test the new zone the same behavior happens again.
I’ve moved zones (12 to 13) to test and see if it was the specific zone. Same results.
I am going to completely factory reset the unit but thought I would check here for advise.
Any commentary would be helpfu!

Is the new zone's valve different from the rest? What kind of valve it is?
It could be a defective valve which draws too much current and the shortcut protection kicks in after a few seconds, once kicked in needs a bit of time to cool down thus not affecting the rest of the valves - that could give the impression that restart solves it. We need to differentiate somehow a software behavior from a hardware one - first impression is the hardware one.
Just for a test You can exchange this zone's valve with an old zone what You know is working - it is the same behavior after the change?
