Daily or Twice Per Week

Hi all,

In process of getting my RainMachine programming set up.  I understand that I need to measure my output per zone (using cups/rain gauge/etc.) to know how long to run each zone during the course of a week to reach a target amount of water (i.e. 1 inch per week).  My question is how to divide that up...  Is there a meaningful difference to RainMachine if I go for two days with longer durations vs. watering every day?  I prefer the longer, less frequent method to get deep root-level watering.   Any insight is appreciated.

  Hi Joseph,

  There isn't a difference, the algorithm is the same no matter what program frequency you use. Depending on your soil / vegetation a lower frequency (every 2 days or 2-3 days/week) might work better.
