I too have been receiving the same notice, beginning with the update to the latest firmware.  There is something confusing about the RM software settings, which allow the user to specify when, after the rain stops, the RM returns to normal program runs.  How does the RM know when the rain stops.  All it knows is that the cartridge material of the attached rain sensor is wet and hasn't dried out yet, which can occur at any time - even days - after the actual rain has stopped.

I have an Irritrol RS1000 attached to my RM-12.  I really don't know how to set the delay period until normal program runs resume, because I'm not sure if the RM is still reading it as "raining" when actually it is not raining but the sensor is still wet.

    Advice on this, please.

Also getting 2nd notification once sensor dries out that rain was detected. Checking restrictions confirms that it actually turned off.

Also — the delay options are there for people that have sensors that dry out too fast and want to add extra snooze time. I didn’t think that was confusing at all. If you have a Rain Clik, keep in mind it is two stage, so if you get a small amount of rain, it will dry out in a few hours where with a soaking rain, it might fake 1-2 days.

So is anyone from rain machine going to reply? It's annoying that I can't tell if I'm receiving rain or a dry out condition.

It still should display the actual status under settings, restrictions, rain sensor.

Agreed and it does. However it seems foolish to have to open the app each time I get a notification to verify if it's rain or a dry out condition. That's the point of a notification. Notifications use to work properly now they don't. Not sure what changed with the app.

If it’s any consolation, I had a ticket open for something else and they acknowledged an issue with rain sensor notifications, so they are aware of it even if they haven’t responded here about it yet.

I don't know if there is anything else wrong with the rain sensor compatibility or notifications, but in my Settings > Rain Sensor the sensor is shown as Active.  If I click on Rain Sensor, I do not see any information about whether the sensor is currently preventing the RM programs from running or whether the sensor is currently detecting rain or "drying out" after a rain.

Also, the Last Detected Rain Event is showing as over a month ago, even though there have been many rainfalls since then, including a huge downpour last night.  Why would this be?  (The red Rain Machine is Paused notice is showing on the Dashboard, Zones, Programs and Settings page.  When I click on the red notice, it does show that rain is detected and that the RM is paused.)

My RM is on the latest firmware - .900.

That’s what my ticket was about — the last detected rain event date was wrong. If you see the red restriction bar, the sensor is wet. Sometimes it takes 10-15 seconds to appear on the screen. Also — if you are local to the controller, the console will show the red bar as well when wet. Finally, if you access via the web interface at my.rainmachine.com or by its local IP address, the wet sensor will be indicated 5-10 seconds after the page loads under “water restrictions” on the main page.

Also noticed today that rain sensor status appears to be ignored when a manual zone operation is taking place or started. I don’t think that should be the default behavior — there should be either a setting that controls whether rain detected still allows manual operations to start or continue - or if it should always pause and ask for confirmation of override.

iPhone app appears to have been updated to 4.4.101(24) -- looked at release notes from app store and did not see mentioned if the rain sensor notification bug has been resolved.  Has it?

Looks like that bug was not fixed.. My sensor dried out last night and sent another notification that rain was detected.
