Please please please someone needs to get this integration directly to Google Home. No, not through Rainmachine to Smartthings, etc.then to Google Home but Rainmachine directly to Google Home!

This is great news. I would expect to be able to say things like "turn on (zone name here) back patio for 8 minutes" or do enable a program "run morning water" at the very least.

Currently if you have Google Home you can use IFTTT to create triggers that work with both Google Home and Google Assistant.

Its very simple to setup and use, allowing you to setup any "Trigger Phrase" you would like.

I was configuring my own applet and trigger phrase for Google Assistant, but it seems I have to create an individual applet per zone with specific run time? I was hoping I could say something like "run zone X for X minutes".

This is certainly a draw back, unfortunately I don't have a better suggestion at the moment.

The only other option is to have it run a Program instead of a zone. Hopefully in the future we can provide an option like you mention here.

Daniel,

It looks like I was incorrect,the implementation of Google Home and RainMachine will do exactly what you want.

You'll command Google Home to start a zone for how many minutes you want - right now only minutes and not min and sec.

I too would like to know the status of this. Spring is approaching. RM needs native Google Assistant integration. Rachio has it.

Is there anywhere we can get support for this ?

I have followed all the setup instructions but cannot get it to start a zone.

Either it continually lists all 16 of my zones or asks which zone, eventually saying 'Sorry I can't help'

Do not say START, it does not understand

The instruction needs to be WATER <ZoneName> or WATER <ProgramName>

You also cannot ask assistant to pass the command to rainmachine, it has to be a 2 step thing

ask rainmachine to water footpath - you have no zones or programs named footpath

Although there is no feedback about the time via assistant, I can see it counting down via webapp, phone or device.

If you don't mention a time it does not prompt you but simply says it started but actually has not.

If the support pages were updated to reflect actual state it would be a lot simpler to get this working first time.

When a zone is disabled it should not show up when you list zones. If you don’t have the full 12 zones in your system listing them just seems unpolished...
