How to use custom parser to reactivate METNO weather service with FW v4.0.851
The METNO weather service is broken since met.no changed the API version to v1.3 and stopped support for v1.2. The issue is known and has been fixed in the latest Beta firmware release.
For those who still want to use the METNO weather service with the current stable FW version here are the steps how to add a custom parser for METNO with the updated API call:
1. download the fixed met-no-parser.py Python script from Github:
This is a copy of the original RainMachine parser file with just one line changed for the updated API call.
2. follow RainMachines instructions on how to integrate additional weather services as described here:
http://wikipage.rainmachine.com/index.php?title=How_to_upload_a_new_weather_data_source_parser
Choose the downloaded met-no-parser.py as python source file.
Hopefully someone finds this useful :-)

Joachim

Sorry, but obviously it's not as simple as I thought ;-(
According to Nicu Pavel, the Author of the Python script, my change does allow to retrieve data again, but the data will not be correctly understood by the RainMachine mixer because starting with 1.3 API MET.NO reports multiple intervals that intersect.
He promised to publish a new version for 1.3 soon.
So we have to wait for the update, or use the Beta firmware :-(
Best regards,
Joachim
