Idea: Flow Monitoring, Notification, and "Max Flow/Consumption Exceeded" Cut Off.

Is there a way to implement flow control overall and by zone with notifications to monitor and disable if there is excessive flow (broken pipe or blown sprinkler head)?

There are lots of times where it is days before some of us who water at night know if there is a system problem causing excessive consumption (broken pipe or blown sprinkler head).
