Protection from the elements

My current irrigation controller is mounted on an outside wall. Is the RainMachine designed for this, or do I need to take steps to protect it from the elements?

  Reading up on it a bit more, it says it's for indoor use only. Which means yes. All my wiring is on an exterior wall, so I'd love to hear how people solve this problem.

  Hi, Stian
  We do recommend that all our RainMachine devices should be used/installed indoor, but if you cannot do that because of your old system wiring then we recommend using an outdoor enclosure and make sure it is not placed in direct sunlight.
