RainMachine Pro-16 False Leak Reporting

I have had a DAE MJ-100a 1-inch flow sensor connected to my RainMachine Pro-16 for 1.5 years and until a day ago, everything was working great. 

Then, my RainMachine started reporting leaks every 10 minutes.  It thinks I have leaked over 415,000 gallons of water over the last 5 hours.  However, my irrigation water supply is shut off and manual reading of the flow meter shows no change over this time period.  

I checked all the electrical connections and found them to be dry and tight.  I tried rebooting the RainMachine.

Do you have any idea what might be going wrong and how to fix it?

  I had the same problem with my flow sensor on the RainMachine.  It worked fine for quite some time, then it started detecting false pulses.

  I added a pull down resistor as discussed in this post and it resolved the issue for me:

  Thanks!  I will have 2.2K resistors in a few days and will give them a try.

  I installed a 2.2K ohm resistor per your instructions and have not had a single "leak" detected in over 24 hours.

  Good to hear.  Over the years, I think my  RainMachine started detecting false leaks again with the resistor maybe one time.  All I did was disconnect the sensor and resistor and reconnect and it was fine again.
