Zone won't turn off
Hello,
I used my Rainmachine Mini 8 for two years with no problem - it's a great device that I've recommended often. When I started up my system this spring (i.e., turned on the water, opened the valves), one of the zones (Zone 2) turned on and stays on. Neither the app nor the controller recognize that Zone 2 is on. I have no way of turning off Zone 2 except unplugging Rainmachine and also turning off the irrigation valve.
I did nick an irrigation cable with a shovel a few weeks ago. The outer sheath was damaged but I saw no damage to the irrigation wires, i.e., no visible copper, and I sealed the cable back up. But now I wonder - could this be a wiring issue? Or could it be a controller, valve, or solenoid issue?

Please make sure that you have the RainMachine Status important mobile push notifications switched ON
Open the RainMachine mobile app, connect to your Mini-8, and access Settings - Notifications
If you had them ON all this time and you did not get notified about a short or a reboot during the watering event, then it is not related to the controller.
An in-depth inspection of your Zone 2 valve should be made.
