Rain sensor wiring
FixedHello,
I have an PRO-16 controller and a Hunter wired rain click sensor (MINI-CLIK). It has a red wire and a white wire. Does it matter which one I attach to COMMON terminal and which I attach to the RAIN SENSOR terminal?
I can't get the rain sensor working and I'm wondering if it matters which wire is attached to which terminal. Thanks in advance!

Anyone have any advice on how to get this rain sensor working? It was working with my previous (Rachio) controller. The rain sensor has a white and a red wire (see photo).
I've enabled the rain sensor in the RainMachine app. It's set to 'Normally Closed' (which is correct for this sensor). If I push down on the sensor manually to test it, the RainMachine doesn't detect the sensor being triggered. I even replaced the sensor cap and spindle.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
It should work, because the connection to the RainMachine Pro Rain Sensor terminals is correct.
Do you have other possibilities to test the sensor and see if it still working? Also, you can check if the R and C terminals on the Pro device are working, using two cables attached to R and C terminals, but connected on the other end (Normally Closed), set up the Rain Sensor option on the RainMachine interface and once you disconnect the cabled -> Rain Sensor is wet, the RainMachine Pro should see that as the Rain Sensor detected rain. It should show on the RainMachine display as well, on the Home screen a little red circle with ! mark on the bottom left side of the screen. If the cables are connected again, that notification should disappear -> the Rain Sensor is dry and the irrigation should continue.
Please let us know
Thank you for your patience and understanding,Julian
