After about 8 or more years of no issues with mine, it just decided to not connect via the app.  Internet still works fine but can no longer connect via my phone, internal or external which I had set up for I don't even remember how long.   Something changed, but don't know what.   Not on my end.  Never touched any setting on router or rainmachine.  Looking at a rachio since it is always a crapshoot regarding connectivity.  Hope that helps as well.

I've been having the same issue with using local access from my Android phone from home. Remote works as it should. Using from home, the app is hit-or-miss in its connection, but always wants me to re-enter the password and won't retain it for some reason. Worked fine a couple of weeks ago, so it seems to be a recent glitch. Deleting the app and reinstalling didn't help for me. My iPad app works as it should either way.

Hopefully RainMachine can investigate and fix soon as the weather is beginning to get a lot warmer and more watering required.

For me, rebooting the RM helped.

It happens occasionally. What I then do is access the webinterface. Unfortunately that is already enough to crash the RM and it will be working for a few days again.

If for some reason the RM does not crash on its own, I just use the reboot option in the web interface.

So, some of your responses prompted me to try something.   I broke out my old Samsung S20 5G.   Been using an S23+ for over a year with no issues until around first of May 2024.   Can never get the interface to connect even today.  Same IP address.   Same Wi-Fi, everything.   Using the old phone, no changes to the app, as it all is still as it was over a year ago and after I unplugged/plugged in the RM, the old S20 works currently.  Not sure if it will discontinue later or in a few days so I will be monitoring this this week and will try to report back.  So that is the plan for now.   I will not have remote access at all as that phone no longer has a SIM or cell service.  Only Wifi.   Inquiring minds want to know.   Thanks for all the feedback.   We shall see.

I'm going to try a reboot tonight and see what happens.

I tried my old Samsung S9+ this morning (wifi/no SIM) with the RM app on it and no go...similar response to my new S24 Ultra.

OK, a reboot of my Pro16 didn't help. I wonder if I should try to update the password on the unit?

My RM has been sketchy now for over a year.  I've had it installed for around 7 years without any hiccups.  I first noticed remote access would not work.  Useless to me if I cannot get to the device remote, as I don't set schedules.  Then local access started acting up.  I had to do the device reset 3 times for it to finally allow me back in local access.  When I then tried remote access via the app, I was directed to pay for premium service.

Well I guess it's over.  Will purchase a competitor device and replace this.  Adios MF'er.

FYI, after saying my S20 worked, I guess I rebooted the phone or something and now that no longer works, maybe the software updated, I did not pay attention so now that is a no-go either.   So unless I want to run to the garage everytime to start the manual water, seems the remote portion of this is over.   Certainly considering another brand now as well.   Seems RM does not give a rats A$$ on this so called support community as expected.  Good luck!!!!

Somehow, the local network connection appears to be working as it should again. Hoping things will continue to get me through the end of this irrigation season.

Correct LAN is fine, just the remote now is no more through the cloud.  I cannot do all of the port forwarding etc., as my provider router doesnt allow.  this is the only way to allow remote now, without paying the subscripton
