Sunrise incorrect
I just bought a Rainmachine HD 16. The firmware is 4.0.750 and says "no updates" available.
I see a few references in previous release notes to fixing sunrise issues... but it is still wrong. I am in East Texas. Sunrise tomorrow is 6:47 AM. The Rain Machine computes it to be 4:46 AM. Is it possible you're not applying the timezone correctly?

Shrinks,
I would like to personally take a look at your issue. Please open a ticket by going to http://rainmachine.com/help.php and using the "Contact Help" link.
I would like to make sure the unit is set correctly, I would also double check time zone settings and make sure the location is set right.
Thanks for your time and patience

Oddly, it has resolved itself.
I have made no changes whatsoever. TZ is set to America/Chicago and the lat/long is correct. The only thing that has changed recently is the unit was rebooted yesterday when I powered it off to add some new zone wiring. (This isn't the first reboot since I have noticed the issue though.)
It seems fixed for now. Assuming Rainmachine uses the standard timelocal/localtime system calls, the only thing I can imagine would be something with tzdata database.
