    Andrei, thanks for good news!

I love that you are implementing 'Water Surplus' concept.

However, I don't see any notes about auto-changing watering frequencies, i.e. trying to keep zone's run times constant (for deep root penetration) by adjusting interval between irrigation to run only when a soil moisture has reached a set depleted threshold.

Is this feature on the release list?

    Thanks

    Hi Al,

I had the same issue with my old RainBird (manual) controller.  It would reduce the percentage based on the hottest days of the year.  So, just like you, I do not need to water three times a day in the winter, only once. And likewise in the spring and fall perhaps only 2 days rather than 3 times during the summer months.  This is more important when one uses drip (deep watering) as apposed to sprinklers.

My solution was to create separate programs for Summer, Winter, and Spring/Fall, respectively.  Then, just make sure to de-activate the programs that are out of the season period.  This plan is very flexible too.  Sometimes in So Cal we get summer like periods in late spring and early fall, so you can make active or de-active as will to accommodate weather anomalies.
