What can I do to increase WIFI range?

My sprinkler controller is at ~100-150 ft away from my WIFI router. Will RainMachine work at this distance? What can I do to improve range?

  Rick, 

  Repeaters will increase WIFI range from, say 100ft to 200ft. 

  If repeaters are not an option, the WIFI radio on the RainMachine HD-12 or RainMachineHD-16 can be 'detached' from the device and extended with a USB extension cord (search Amazon.com for '4ft or 5ft USB  extension cord"). Routing the WIFI radio closer to window can improve range dramatically.

  The Rainmachine Mini-8 has integrated WIFI antenna, so the only way to get better signal is to re-position the device itself, just FYI.

  Keep your device away from obstacles, such as large metal appliances (refrigerators) or too walls as they tend to block WIFI signals. 
  I also found out that re-locating or re-arranging the position of your WIFI router can improve link quality. It is a guessing game, but sometimes it pays off...
