Can an HD16 blow its transformer?

HD16 went dead on screen. Tested transformer, 0 volts. Fine, transformers go bad. Got an Orbit 24A 750ma AC (same specs). Tested fine before inserting the wires. After connecting new transformer, HD16 STILL doesn’t power up, no sign of anything, even briefly. But here’s the the thing— after disconnecting the transformer and re-testing its leads the new transformer is now throwing 0 volts. 🤨 Any reports of HD16s failing so as to blow their power supply? This is obviously frustrating— am trying to fix not flush money.

  I had the exact same problem. I’ve now been through two transformers. What’s the deal I subscribe to the premium plan for support
