New Android app update or beta app

I have an app update, but it says "For this beta version to work properly, beta firmware is required to be installed on the RainMachine device." I don't have beta firmware installed. I'm not part signed up for beta. I don't recall signing up for the beta app testing. Is this info wrong? Is it not really a beta version?

  Hi, Matt
  Sorry for this issue. It's our fault. The description on the Play Store for the stable released had the Beta Update warning and it shouldn't.

  Perfect. That's what I was guessing, but I was hesitant to download just in case.
