Auto Pause Prior To Rain Event
Let's say rain is predicted for Thursday.
My watering schedule is set for Wednesday.
Is this system capable, smart enough, to pause that watering event based on a future prediction?
If so, then where do I find the setting? It seems you would want to control: "Water Anyway" or Time until predicted rain event to allow override or etc...?
This is primarily why I bought this unit (Mini-8) thinking that it is a smart controller.
Thanks!

The system doesn't pause per se. If the incoming rain is enough for plants it won't water at all, if only partially enough it will replenish the plant needs by irrigation. If it actually rained more than it had predicted it will auto correct itself on next watering. *Forecast correction* can be improved by using a personal weather station from Weather Underground for example, but it will also work with only the default weather service (NOAA/MET.NO)
If you always want to skip a irrigation when there is a predicted rain, you have the Rain Restriction in Program settings. The system should auto-balance itself after this restriction but for healthier plants we recommend Rain Restriction to be set to OFF.

Thanks.
Could you point me to steps to follow to set the unit up to work on predictions?
As I have it setup now it is not working as you specify.
I am using a hardware rain sensor and specific rain times which is probably overriding auto predict.
I am unable to find the info that addresses this issue -
Hi Gary,
Can you give me more information about what doesn't work and what you want to achieve ? The unit always work on predictions. Does specific rain times means custom duration set in a program for each zone ? If so this should be an issue unless you also select Fixed weather which will force unit to always water 100% of what you set.

After going through settings it appears it worked this time. A watering event was scheduled for today and rain was also predicted. Yesterday I looked at the dashboard and the scheduled event for today was not highlighted. And it did not run today.
However, yesterday, at the top of the dashboard it clearly stated an event was scheduled for today. That is confusing.
If you work for rainmachine could you please consider a notification that a scheduled event is being skipped due to future prediction. This should be there but it is not. Just not graphing it on the dashboard is not enough as we wonder if it is a glitch or some other issue.
Thanks!
