Rain sensor connected - date of last detected rain event is incorrect
I have an Irritrol RS1000 rain sensor connected to the sensor terminals of my HD-12. Currently on 4.0.945 firmware.
The Sensor section of the HD-12 LAN display says the last detected rain event was May 12. But I am certain that it has rained since that date while the rain sensor setting was active on the HD-12.
Why would the last detected rain event date not be accurate?

I also have an Irritrol remote sensor connected, and I am seeing similar behavior on my Mini-8 running 4.0.926 FW. I recently discovered that I needed to check the "normally closed" check box since my sensor was wired to the sensor terminals in that configuration, and now my iOS app correctly indicates when a rain event is detected. However, it is not evident when the sensor dries out and rain detection is reset on the RM. Attached are the screenshots from the web GUI showing the discrepancy in the "last detected" event dates and the dates of recent detection on my watering schedule. Please advise how this can be corrected.

With a bit more observation on my part, I've decided that the date of the last rain event is updated only AFTER the next rain event, including dryout time for the Irritrol rain sensor, is over.
In your screenshot, it appears that the rain sensor has not yet dried out from rain around July 25th. I think when the sensor dries out, the red banner at the bottom of the iOS app dashboard and the other red rain event notification icons will disappear and the RM will resume its normal schedule. At that point, the July 25th rain event will be over and the date of last rain event will be updated.
EDIT: Just checked my own RM and it has updated the last detected rain event to yesterday - July 25th - even though the Irritrol sensor has not dried out yet (red banner still shows on iOS app). So, now I'm confused too as to how it actually works. Perhaps someone from Rain Machine can comment.

That all makes sense with regard to the July 25th activation still being active (more showers early this morning, July 26th), but it doesn't explain why in the top portion of the screenshot (under settings/rain sensor), the last detected rain event was on May 31st. I only snooze the RM for 24hrs after the rain event is detected, so surely it should have reset at some point between May 31st and July 25th, right?

So it hasn't rained in over 48 hours, and my RM Mini-8 is still showing "Delay" on the panel, and similarly "Rain Detected" under the Rain Sensor section of the web GUI. I confirmed the rain sensor is no longer active (indicating that it is dried out), and I have the rain sensor settings to "Snooze device after 24 hours after rain is detected", so the RM should have reset the delay and resumed to my normal watering schedule. Please advise as to why the RM is not re-setting after the sensor dries out (schedule appears to be on permanent hold/delay now). Thanks in advance.

I don't think your rain sensor functions correctly when attached to RainMachine, you can remove the wires from rain sensor, put 2 simple wires and short them to simulate a no rain event. Check if web ui correctly detects this (there shouldn't be a Rain Detected on Dashboard) and then open those wires. The web ui should show a Rain Detected event.
