No Response from Support ??
FixedNot sure if the support team is out of office, or if my support ticket is suddenly not showing active on that end, but I have been waiting almost a week for a response regarding a return. Ticket 21965. Would appreciate a response. Thanks!

The answer to your issue is No, you do not have to send the power adapter, just the device itself.
And you don't have to send it into the original box, just find one that fits and pack it properly.Thank you for your understanding.
