Programming "End ___ before sunrise" does not run
Each of my zone assigned to a program parameter, End 0 Minutes before sunrise, have failed to run several times. My user indicated that sunrise would occur at 6:14AM, and each of three program showed it was to commence at 6:13AM. Our weather has been sufficiently warm, 80 plus degrees, with no rain, and no water in four days even though RainMachine showed that a schedule for water was anticipated.
I have since abandoned the convenient "End before ..." parameter and will try a less helpful strategy. My fall back is to get up at 3AM and manually start my watering process (or hook up my old timer).
Any thoughts on how to address this frustration. I imagine I am doing something incorrectly, but the solution eludes me.

Thank you for directing me to other comments of intended programming failing to operate as prescribed. I am at a loss, however, to understand why RainMachine reported this as being fixed in a recently prior release.
At minimum, a release removing the failed process would have been rational along with a notice to users that (some) programming features do not perform as intended.
"Known issue" is really not helpful. You referred me to blogs from which I needed to extract the answer, you must have a fixed start time if zone programming is to work. I will validate this on the next two weeks. I don't have the programming experience nor thorough manufacturer explanations of functionality to participate in the solution process.

4.0.954 - Finish by sunrise - no watering (reported August 2, 2018).If you look at the firmware versions, the newest is 4.0.1131. So it was fixed after 4.0.954, but was broke in 4.0.1131 again.
What controller and firmware version are you using?

If you are using a BETA firmware, then you accepted the risks of things possibly not working.
TL;DR: don't use start/end by, use fixed start time and it will work.
