My situation: It's HOT here! And we’ve had no rain for about three weeks. My plants NEED water.
There is a 16% chance of rain at 6PM. Based on this slim chance of rain, my system decides to not water today due to Water Surplus. Ever if it does manage to rain today, my plants will suffer in the heat until it does. This logic is not acceptable.
It shouldn’t work this way. The decision to not water based on Water Surplus should be made AFTER the rain occurs, not before, and certainly not based on a low percentage chance of rain.
I understand the desire to maximize water savings with this system, but this logic is too aggressive.
