I purchased the Rain Machine Pro because it has an ethernet connection rather than just WiFi. However, if you hard wire the unit, you will find that it still broadcasting the SSID from the build in Access Point.  This can be turned off by:

-Open RainMachine app
-Click on the name of your device
-Click on the 'Wrench' (Settings)
-Click on 'System Settings'
-Click on 'WiFi Setup Network'
-Make sure this button is on the off position.
-Reboot your device.

Alternatively you can connect directly to the device.  

MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO HAVE A REBOOT OPTION IN THE WIFI SETUP AREA. SO ONCE THE BUTTON'S STATUS IS CHANGED THEN PRESENT THE USER WITH AN OPTION TO REBOOT THE DEVICE TO MAKE THE CHANGE EFFECTIVE. THIS WOULD IMO BUT MUCH MORE EFFICIENT.
