MET.NO weather service fix is available

MET.NO weather data format has changed and as I result, the Rainmachine MET.NO is no longer able to correctly retrieve weather data from this source. During this time, Rainmachine will water on schedule using historical averages for your area instead of live data. 
 
We updated the MET.NO plugin and we released a quick manual fix. BETA and a STABLE software update will follow shortly. If you want to perform a manual update, here are the instructions: 
 
  • Using a desktop browser, click this link (github) and download and save the "met-no-parser.py" file.
  • With the same desktop browser access your RainMachine device using the RainMachine Web app.

 Note: To access the RainMachine Web app when you are on the same local network as the RainMachine device, just type the RainMachine Local IP address into the browser address bar. If you are not on the same local network, you can access the RainMachine Web app by going to https://my.rainmachine.com and log in using your remote access credentials (email address and RainMachine password).

  • Once you login to the RainMachine Web app, access your RainMachine device and go to Settings - Weather - click on ADD NEW button then click on the "Choose file" button and look for the "met-no-parser.py" file and click UPLOAD.
  • The new Custom:METNO parser will become available for your RainMachine device.

You'll need to disable the default METNO weather service that it's not working for now.
Go to the Recommended tab and click on METNO weather service, disable it and click SAVE

In the coming days, we will release the BETA firmware with the fix for the METNO weather service.
