HD16 - Questions on Sharing Access
I am trying to set up an invitation for my sprinkler contractor so that he has access to my system allowing him to use the system to choose zones to activate when he is blowing out the system.
As a test, I sent an invitation to a new GMail account I created and accepted the invitation. I see that, using a browser, I can go on to https://my.rainmachine.com and successfully login with the new email address.
However, I could not figure out how to successfully log into the RainMachine app on my iPhone with the newly created email account credentials! Is it possible to actually use the app with shared credentials or does the sharing only work with a browser?
I expect that my contractor will be using his iPhone and using the app would definitely be easier than having to open a browser and enter in the credentials!
In the app, I am able to enter the newly created email credentails and the Sign in page shows that the account is "Signed in with Google" however the shared RainMachine doesn't show up!
I would appreciate clarification or an explanation as to how to properly set it up to use the iPhone app.

Yes, it will work using the RainMachine iOS app too.
Make sure you have the latest version available on Apple AppStore.Indeed, you'll have to sign in with the Sign in with Google option using the Google account that you shared your device with and successfully validate it.
In your case, you already are the owner of the device shared, and your owner account is also added to the app. The app will list your own device under the My RainMachines section and not under Shared with me one.
Your contractor will see your device when he will install the RainMachine iOS app on his iPhone and sign in with his Gmail account you shared the device to.
