Freeze Protection Revisted
Gathering FeedbackCan the Freeze Detection setting be changed so that it looks at the lat weather updates before deciding to "hold" the start of the next program? In Upstate New York, we've experienced some recent morning frosts lately and then it warms up quite a bit by mid-morning which should run the system. I understand that the freeze detection may lock itself in until the next day, but this really has an effect on the lawn if RainMachine decides to wait and we get 3-4 days of morning low temps during the same week and no programs run.
I have a Rainbird WR-2 Freeze/Thaw sensor on my Pro-16 so I'll probably need to rely on that to trigger my mid-morning watering schedule instead of the RM freeze protection setting. I would think this would be an easy fix to just check the latest temp to determine if the upcoming program is a "go" or "no go".
Others having this problem? Thanks.
