First Gen update failing
I've got a first generation sprinkler controller running 3.60. The web interface doesn't seem to render in modern browsers and I can't find documentation on api 3, so I thought I'd update the firmware.
When I try to update the unit, it flashes very quickly that it failed to contact update2.rainmachine.com and update1.rainmachine.com. If I ssh in, I can ping both those servers and wget the /index.html file hosted there (something about "now hosted on S3!")
In /data/data/com.sprinkler.ui/updateservers.txt I find the following lines:
http://update2.rainmachine.com/sprinkler/v2
http://update1.rainmachine.com/static/sprinkler/v2
Which both indeed 404. I'm guessing maybe you lost permissions or changed the structure in those buckets so my unit can't see the firmware files?
Let me know if you need any additional information.

Hello Parker,
In order to get the latest update for the HD-12 Gen 1 you need to have an updated SD card. You have two options. You can send in the device and we'll change it for you ($12 to cover shipping) Or we can mail you a new SD card and you can change it yourself. Below is a link with instructions if you want to do it yourself.
