    Hi,
My colleague replied to you on the support ticket.
We will look into this issue. The SSID it is indeed hidden, but it should not be visible.
Also, since it is switched OFF the RainMachine AP Mode network it is not accessible.

Sorry for the "Contact Us" error link, it has been fixed now. Thank you for pointing that out.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes the SSID is hidden, I was only able to detect it thanks to the neighboring AP feature of my Unifi network controller. My concern is not with anyone accessing it but the constant interference on the radio spectrum by a competing device.

Just got my Pro 16 setup last weekend.  I am still seeing "RainMachine-blah" network.  It is not hidden.  I don't need the wireless at all, as I have a wired connection to it.

Any ideas what I can do to get this shut off, or at least broadcasting hidden?  I have not tried to connect to the network yet, and I am afraid of what I may end up being able to do if I were to.

After I connected mine to LAN via ethernet it stopped broadcasting. It still shows the name of the setup AP in the settings but is not actually broadcasting, hidden or visible. I may have toggled setting too, not sure about that it was a week ago.

    Now this just more serious.

So I did test connecting to the wifi network (that is broadcasting and open so trivial to connect to)

Nmap scanned things.  Both the http/https interfaces and SSH was listening.
    Nmap scan report for 192.168.13.1
    Host is up (1.0s latency).
    Not shown: 994 closed ports
    PORT STATE SERVICE
    22/tcp open ssh
    53/tcp open domain
    80/tcp open http
    443/tcp open https
    8080/tcp open http-proxy
    8081/tcp open blackice-icecap

The web interface does open and at least has the required auth to get in to it.
But what is concerning, SSH is disabled in the web interface, but is still listening and I can connect to it.

This is getting bad.  Like go pull the power cord bad.

I felt that way when I couldn't get the AP to stop broadcasting

I'm not seeing port 22 open though

    PORT STATE SERVICE
    53/tcp open domain
    80/tcp open http
    443/tcp open https
    8080/tcp open http-proxy
    8081/tcp open blackice-icecap

Alright, after several trips to the touch panel and a few reboots later, it seems to now be keeping the wireless radio off.

There is a check box option only on the touch panel that is a bit of a reverse logic situation.
Where I had the check box checked for "AP disabled" that was in fact enabling the radio.
Unchecking it and rebooting seems to be the trick.

    Hoping the it stays off.

Also in all the reboots it seems to have decided to shut off the SSH server so it now matches the settings page, that had it disabled the whole time.

Small update.  It is still broadcasting hidden.  Saw it in log this evening.

@RainMachine Support when do you expect to have a FW that allows for the radio to be turned off entirely?

Is there a firmware in the pipeline to address the issue? It has been over 3 months since initially reported.

I too would love to get this problem resolved. The radio should be completely off if using the wired Ethernet interface.

I've just ordered an OpenSprinkler, not keen on the lack of support/radio silence here. Look for my unit on eBay! ;)

I need to shut this down to minimise the wireless interference with my home wifi network and my neighbours.
