Recommendation for an compact (and affordable) flow meter?
I started preparing my irrigation system for startup and exchanged the flow meter I installed last year as it seems like it is defective.
I installed a cheap hall-effect based flow meter directly at the pump and wired it up to my RM-8 Pro. However, it does not seem to be counting pulses.
What I did not check so far is a very low pulse frequency. I just tried it when I was rinsing my well after doing some maintenance. In that case the flow was probably around 55L/min, near the max. of the flow meter.
The meter outputs 60 pulses/L. If I would only assume 50l/min that would still be way above the 200Hz which the Pro can read.
Can anybody recommend a compact flow meter that stays below the 200Hz?
Worst case I'd have to rig up a frequency devider or something ...
