With everything out-of-stock I am looking for a used Rainmachine.

What are the significant differences between older devices and newer ones?

Specifically, what are the differences between the HD12 1st gen and 2nd gen?

  The 1st gen has an old hardware and it doesn't have any software updates while the 2nd gen is supported with updates and has a newer hardware.
