Forced to purchase premium services.
My revised app popped up today to force me to buy premium. NO. I do not want it but when I disable remote access, I cannot connect to my unit locally. What the hell! total bull shit.

Hi, Tad
Make sure that your home local wi-fi network has UDP Discovery seevice enabled and it is not blocked.
Also, the phone/desktop used to connect to the RainMachine device locally has to be connected to the same local Wi-Fi network.
If want to access RainMachine Web interface locally, type the RainMachine
local static IP address into the browser address bar like this:
https://192.168.100.100:8080
where 192.168.100.100 is your RainMachine static local IP address. Use https:// and also use 8080 port.Use the same url with your local IP address into the RainMachine mobile apps Direct Access option if your mobile phone does not list the RainMachine device into the DEVICES screen automatically.
Hope that helps, Tad
Thank you for your patience and understanding.Justin
RainMachine Support -
Looking at Rachio but after seeing skydrop go under, and repeatedly warning RainMachine they were headed down the same path (confirmed with this “premium” service bait and switch, that was the last gasp of skydrop also)…I’m almost afraid the next company I choose will also go under. It’s amazing how companies provide terrible support/service, put out bug-filled products, promise the NEXT update will fix things (yeah, right) then are surprised when they find themselves updating resumes
