No Direct Access
Good day folks -
I have a first gen Rain Machine (RM) and I want to play with the API's locally. I've tried to browse to the IP Address as shown on my phone and RM device with no luck.
I've tried different ports (443, 8443, 8080, 8081, 18080, 18081, 19090, 19091) based on some other docs i've seen.
Nothing .. but then it's a first gen system. Maybe I can't use the API?
WIFI system sees it just fine
iPhone app works like a charm
any hints would be welcome ....

Hi, Bob
Nice to hear that our Rainmachine Touch 1st gen (2013-2014) device is still working for you. Thank you!
Unfortunately, the API interface is not available for the 1st gen Touch devices.
Please rely on our RainMachine mobile apps to access and control and also on its own local touch interface.
Thank you, Bob
Julian

Thanks for the quick response. I really appreciate that!
I am very happy with this technology. It's been working like a champ since day one. However, if I understand you correctly, I have no other option than to purchase the lasted RainMachine if I want to direct access via REST calls.
Is that Correct?
I need to be clear, so that I can justify replacing a perfectly good device with a new one, JUST so that i can play with API's.
"I had to .. Julian said so". ;-)
Teasing of course ....
