Android Notifications stopped working since the move to Premium

I haven't been getting Notifications at all on my Android phone for the past month or so which coincides with the disappointing move to a Premium subscription on June 8.

Premium vs. Basic Services lists "Mobile Notifications" as a Premium feature, but there are also free Basic Mobile Notifications:

What are these Basic Mobile Notifications? Exactly which notifications fall under the basic category? How can I test?

Or is this a problem where Rainmachine broke all notifications?

EDIT: The RainMachine Android app has been updated and it is now available for all users on Google Play. Please update it if you are using an Android device with Android system version 12 or higher.

Hi, we just released a Beta version of the RainMachine Android app on the Google PlayStore that will fix the mobile push notifications issue.

Android beta:

1. Click on this link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.rainmachine and Agree to become a tester, then go to the Play Store on your Android device and update the RainMachine mobile app.

2. To revert to the current stable Play Store version of the RainMachine app, click on the link again and choose to "Leave the program". Then open Play Store and update the app again.

Please have a look and give it try.
Soon it will be available as Stable version for all our users.

Hi,
There are no restrictions on the push notification side regarding account status.
Nothing has been changed on this side.

Also, the issue it is not because the introduction of the Premium Services, but because of the Android system update.

We are investigating this issue about the mobile push notifications for RainMachine Android app not being correctly sent with the latest Android system update.
As soon as the fix is available we will let you know.

It also worth to check your Android system not to block the mobile push notifications for RainMachine app.

Are you saying notifications are broken for all Android users?

I am not blocking any notifications, as I said it used to work until about a month ago, I did not make any changes on my side.

Hi,
Not all, we have Android 11, 10 > devices and they all works.
Some Android 12 devices have issues with the push notifications because of Google requirements.

We will look on our app side and see if there is a fix we can do for the Android 12 requirements.

I can confirm notifications now work on Android 13 with the latest version of the app. Thanks for the fix!
